Lackawanna Energy Center
We hired Pocono Imaging Services at the Lackawanna Energy Center Power Plant to GPR a few locations. The individual that showed up on site was very professional and knowledgeable about what needed to be done. In the process of doing GPR on one location in particular he discovered a high voltage line 6 inches below the concrete surface. That high voltage line was not called out on any drawing and we had not located it our self’s utilizing our ferro scanner.
Pocono Imaging Services saved up approximately 45,000 dollars in repairs and most importantly the life of an individual that was going to do the work. It was later determined that the high voltage line was meant to be temporary but later turned to 480 volt permanent line back feeding a distribution line. I would highly recommend Pocono Imaging Services to anyone drilling in existing concrete even if you think nothing is in the area.
